Osteopaths diagnose and treat problems associated with muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints to aid the body’s natural healing ability.
We have both male and female practitioners who use a variety of gentle treatment techniques including massage, joint mobilisation, joint manipulation, exercise therapy and postural therapy to ease pain and improve mobility.
Osteopathy is appropriate for any age group.
The amount of treatment needed will vary depending on the nature and longevity of the injury. This will be discussed with you at the initial consultation.
You do not need to be officially referred by your GP, many patients self refer.
You do not need to be in pain to consult your osteopath. Prevention is better than cure. Osteopaths are happy to give postural advice and good exercise regimes etc. at any time.
You may be unsure that your problem is appropriate for osteopathic treatment. The best advice is to phone. We are always happy to discuss any problems before or after treatment.
There are some risks associated with any treatment which your practitioner will be happy to discuss with you.
Should more detailed examinations, such as X-rays, be necessary your practitioner will explain why and then refer you to the appropriate medical person.
We have full medical insurance and are recognised by all major Healthcare Insurance companies including AXA/PPP and BUPA.
